Every single person in the L1 family has a job to do in which they are
proud of. Our service is second to none, and we are able to move swiftly
when needed. I always know the status of my loan, and our turn times
are first rate. LeaderOne has given me the opportunity to have our own
office, and to incorporate some of our ideas into daily business building
activities. We are very proud of our name, and we WILL stand above all
others when it comes to our clients' and business partners' needs and wants.

As the branch marketing guy, I love working with corporate on executing new internet
marketing and agent outreach programs. Sr. Management actively listens to new ideas
and I feel like the compliance department is actually working with me in my corner.

Since LeaderOne is an employee owned company, there is a strong sense of family and
greater purpose that is shared between the branches and originators across the country.

Senior Mortgage Banker / Branch Manager

Absolutely outstanding! As a Top Mortgage professional myself I was always
looking to be a part of a company that allowed more control and communication.
Everyone is rowing the boat the same direction which creates the synergy
that needs to exist from top down. I really enjoy the executive staff, how decisions
are made, input that is allowed from all company parties and an ability to control
your own destiny of success. We are all working to add value to one another
and consummate professionals in every aspect of the business. What I love
most about LeaderOne is the CULTURE! Each of us were cut from the
same mold of serving others first. Our teams are all focused on the
expectations of the consumer first, which is how a true business is grown!

My LeaderOne story:

I fell into the mortgage industry when I was 20 years old and have loved the roller coaster ride ever since. Without dating myself, I will just say that I have been doing it for more than half of my life!

I have a dear friend that I have known for over 10 years that works in the MN office.  She came to me a couple of years ago and said that she thought that LeaderOne would be a perfect fit for me at the new Chicago Branch location.  When I first started, everyone seemed so happy working together and could not stop talking about what a great place LeaderOne was to work at.  I thought that maybe there was some special “Kool-Aid” they were all drinking.  It took me a couple of months before it all sank in and I realized that they were all right, it is a great company and I too will gladly sing their praises when asked.  Sometimes even when I’m not asked.  It is so wonderful to work for a company that is large enough to have all the resources that some “big box” lenders have but also has a small, family, caring culture.  Everyone looks out for each other and I never feel like anyone has a “not my job” attitude.  I got a taste of the Kool-Aid and I now drink and share it daily.

I have met some incredibly amazing people in this business and several of them have become and will remain lifelong friends.  I love that you learn something new every day.  I also really enjoy that I get to meet and interact with so many people from the buyers to their realtor, attorneys, and even the closers and insurance agents.  It’s great to work with everyone towards a common goal.

In my spare time, I love anything involving nature, music or entertaining.  I always have music on.  I spend as much time as I can (when I’m not working in my yard) chilling out, sharing good wine, food and laughs with my friends.  I go out west to CA, OR, and WA a couple times a year for vacation and hope to someday end up out there permanently.

Tip for Success:

  • Keep it simple and always remember that EVERYONE has a story.
